| After completing his first book about all that Jesus began to do and teach until his ascension into heaven, Luke set out to write volume two, the book of Acts. Acts picks up where the Gospel of Luke leaves off, giving a history of what Jesus continues to do through the Holy Spirit as the gospel spread from Jerusalem to Judea to Samaria and rest of the world. Everything was turned upside down as the apostles gave their lives, often literally, for the gospel, and this book is essential for understanding how we ought to live today as Christian witnesses in the same church that was empowered at Pentecost in Acts 2. This study will work exegetically through the book and apply it to our lives today. All ages are welcome. Children’s Choir meets simultaneously in the Youth Room and childcare is provided in the nursing room at the back of the sanctuary. |
